Some days, the daily routine can feel heavy—waking up, work, and the endless cycle of responsibilities and to-do’s that dull our spark. But sometimes, a brief situation can flip our mindset and remind us what life’s all about. If you open your eyes and look closer in your daily activities, you might see what you've been missing. Unexpected moments can revive our inner light and remind us of the joy waiting to be rediscovered.

The daily routine: when life feels drained

Going through your days without a clear objective, walking through a dark cloud and feeling like you can’t find the creative juice or the inspiration in your environment. Each day is becoming drained and uninspiring. You feel unhappy but you just can’t take a decision or make a change.

During one of those days, my coach suggested that I craft a concise, authentic elevator pitch. Read it: an opportunity to articulate my unique value and passion in just a few sentences. This wasn’t about self-promotion, but rediscovering my identity and fueling the spark that had been buried.  At the beginning, it took me some time before soaking in the opportunity and start visualizing how I could do this.

Crafting an Elevator Pitch, but make it fuuun.

The good thing about going to a coach is that you have a deadline to respect. I am good with deadlines, my sense of high responsability takes it over.  Every day I would give 10 minutes of thoughts, doing my own research. I eventually sat down and highlighted all my qualities and skills. That was actually a great exercise! It is so easy sometimes to forget all of these…

I eventually built my script and started focusing on the content, selecting images that are meaningful in my life and career. Last but not least, I wanted to end up with providing value to the hypothetical viewer and how I could help solving his/her challenges.

Embrace your Unique Voice and Personality.

Why I had fun? Because I could list those skills and qualities I forgot about. Because I could work on the new skills I acquired for the edits and flow of my video. Because I was literally cry laughing trying to solve some edits ideas. Why it gave me energy and clarity? Because writing down your values and skills is a recognition of your worth and provides clarity on what you want to achieve.

It was also inspiring putting my energy in showcasing my personality, positive, joyful, goal chaser, dreamer but with my feet on the ground. In some places, you need to hide these qualities, however if you’re looking to be in the right place, don’t be afraid to show who you truly are.

Your steps to create your own elevator pitch.

  • Reflect & write it down: dedicate a few minutes daily to list your unique qualities and skills.

  • Craft your script: build a short, authentic pitch that shows who you are and what you bring. I drew mine.

  • Add your visuals: Pair your words with images that are meaningful in your life and career. Remember, MAKE IT FUN.

  • Share & celebrate: Post it, even if you’re nervous—celebrate your true self and let your spark shine.

  • But most important: SET A DEADLINE! Tell about this project to your partner, best friend, mentor, someone who counts in your environment... and stick to the deadline.

Now... YOUR TURN!

The process of creating my elevator pitch taught me that our personal stories hold immense power. They make us who we are. For anyone feeling lost in the routine, I encourage you to take a moment for yourself. Reflect on your journey, and craft a message that encapsulates your passion and purpose.

I was scared to post this elevator pitch thinking about other's judgements… but at the end of the day, this is about you, me, us, celebrating who we are. It doesn't matter if it's not perfect enough. Don’t let anyone dull your spark, yes, because the spark you need has been waiting within you all along.
